Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication & Complex Assembly
While we are not generally known as supplier of basic “production” sheet metal work - that is, we don’t typically offer competitive pricing on straightforward sheet metal chassis or panels - we are well known for performing complex sheet metal fabrications and weldments to very demanding standards. For example, Imperial has been manufacturing ammo cans (like the one shown in the adjacent photo) for many years. This is close tolerance work in hard to bend alloys and often requires further riveting and spot welding.

We often hold tolerances of better than .005” with complex multi angle bends and/or deep draws. Accordingly, our sheet metal mechanics are among the most talented available and we frequently tackle jobs that require highly specialized tooling and custom approaches.
In addition to Precision Sheet Metal fabrication Imperial specializes in performing unique and often complex assembly work. Our Assembly department and team are equipped to handle a wide variety of projects from mechanical to hydraulic and pneumatic assembled systems. From the assembly of large components like those for the M777 Lightweight Howitzer, to assembly and test of small and delicate components for our semiconductor customers, Imperial has the experience and know-how to get the job done right.

In addition to complex assembly we also kit parts for ease of use by the customer in the field or on their shop floor. Imperial Machine & Tool staff are well versed in applying special labeling or packaging for certain military applications and often mark both the components and the packaging to ensure proper end use.
